A new patch is on the way for Spoxel! The beta for patch 1.1.0.1 is now available on steam under the beta branch. Some of the changes for the current patch are:

  • Changed which glass block you get from smelting
  • Added trait “Runic Shield”
  • Added item “Runic Shield Rune”…. Which probably does what you’d expect 😉
  • Added a sort button for the main inventory
  • Added missing ammo type tooltip
  • Added team buttons within the character screen gui so you can switch “teams”
  • Added Chicken Cult armor
  • Added Refreshing Charge trait which gives a boost to mana regen at low levels
  • Added Charging Crystal item which can be used in armor crafting
  • Bug: Fixed an issue where the cursor wouldn’t line up with when the screen is zoomed in or out
  • Added the mending stream trait which heals you whenever you cast a spell
  • The loop type now takes slightly more mana
  • The loop shape now checks and spends mana for it’s children runes for every loop
  • The persistent aoe shape now checks / spends mana for it’s children runes for every tick
  • The help ctrl now shows ingredient counts for crafted items
  • Bug: Fixed some issues with correct weapon size with advanced crafting
  • Added Revan’s Mending Staff
  • Added a new model for potions so it can be used in advanced crafting
  • You can no longer have multiple damage types at the same spell level
  • Added error message for the spell system when you add mutators to a targeting rune that doesn’t accept them
  • Added new background for the crystal expanse biome
  • Crystaline Grass can now be replaced by placing blocks
  • Added Crystaline Wood block
  • Added Crystaline Plank block
  • Fixed tooltip for Alchemy set
  • Added feather model
  • Fixed a symmetry bug in advanced crafting with opacity
  • Added new gem model for Crystal Shards
  • Added gem model for ice shards
  • Added a new chimney model and item. It is purchasable from Vanfyr
  • Added spell void ring which can convert some spell damage to mana
  • Added meteor ore
  • Meteors, surprisingly, now drop meteor ore
  • Reworked NPC dialog UI to look nicer
  • Added a medkit block which can be used to attract “Jane the Healer” to spawn
  • Added Vanfyr’s Soulstone block which can be used to spawn vanfyr in your base
  • Reworked the game UI positions due to user complaints
  • Bug: Fixed some of the issues with icons flashing with the abilities on advanced crafted weapons
  • Added INVASIONS to the game
  • Added music for invasions
  • Certain mobs….. Can now open doors
  • Certain mobs can now mine through blocks
  • If no path is found to a player, mobs will attempt to find the closest point to them
  • Bug: Fixed an issue with magic color for the spell equip model
  • Added spell held effect for spells crafted with the earth type
  • Added spell held effect for spells crafted with the fire type
  • Added spell held effect for spells crafted with the arcane type
  • Added spell held effect for spells crafted with the air type
  • Rune targeting shape has been reworked to include different types and allow you to set the number of charges
  • Rune targeting shape can now be cast on interactable objects such as chests and doors and trigger when the object is used
  • Added option for rune targeting shape to block entities… What passes through can be used with the change target mutator
  • You can now charge placed runes by casting the same rune over the top of it
  • Added an option for rune targeting shape which will send you a message if someone activates it
  • Added an option for rune targeting shape which will prevent someone from mining a block until it’s charges are complete
  • Bug: Fixed an issue with ai opening doors
  • NPC’s can now be targeted and attacked by mobs
  • Invasions now have pre-reqs based on progress
  • Rewrote quest tracking code to Fix several quest related bugs
  • Added a missing tooltip for the advanced craft table quest
  • There is now money loss on death (25% – Easy, 50% – Medium, 100% – Hard)
  • Blinking will now allow you to escape pygmy spears
  • Added a velocity mutator to change projectiles speeds for an increased mana cost
  • Bug: Fixed some spacing issues in the spell creation gui.
  • Bug: Fixed a bug with colors not changing correctly
  • Added arrow of piercing
  • Added freezing arrow
  • Added damage arrow + 1
  • Added a filter box in the spell create screen to help you search through your spells
  • Added a filter box to the spell design screen to help you search through spell parts
  • Added a watch model for use with the lucky pocket watch
  • Added stalagmites
  • Bug: Fixed an issue preventing chunks from loading correctly
  • Bug: Fixed an issue with the pyramid dungeon where incorrect blocks would spawn in background
  • Added code to double check and re-request missing chunks
  • Bug: Fixed an issue with NPC mouseover
  • Reduced the size of the rotation handlers in the advanced crafting window
  • Fixed the rotation handler to more accurately rotate in the expected direction
  • Fixed more map bugs
  • Reworked the animation handling to do client side calculations. This means animations are much more responsive for your character.
  • Bug: Fixed an issue where attack animation’s wouldn’t play if you were gliding with wings.
